good morning it is 5:00 a.m., friday, january 20th. here's what's happening. >> the pomp and circumstance of the 58th presidential inauguration is about to take over washington, d.c. we'll have a live report from the nation's capitol. >> hundreds of thousands are making their way to washington, d.c. for inauguration weekend, some to cheer others to protest. >> it could be a rainy transition of power not only here, but in washington, d.c. david murphy is tracking the system. >> let's head over to david

murphy and karen rogers is looking at the morning commute. >> reporter: we're looking at a peek of stars, but the clouds will get fairly quickly this morning. there's the rain that will rotate in from the west. looks like it will be in washington, d.c. for the festivities and be here by late morning and afternoon. as we look at temperatures, we promised it would be colder, it is. 33 degrees in wilmington, 30 in allentown. 29 in reading, 29 in trenton, 34 down in cape may. as we take a look at winds don't have to worry about that too much, looks like it's a calm wind profile across the region. 3-mile an hour wind in trenton, 5 in lancaster. it's cold, but we don't have to worry about windchills. as we go through today look for a temperature of 34 degrees by 7:00 a.m. there might be peeks of sunshine in parts of the region by then. noon, 44 degrees, this is when we might see a passing sprinkle or shower, down in washington it would be a possibility.

3:00 p.m., 48 degrees is the high, before we slide to 45 by 5:00 p.m., 44 by 7:00. sometime around 6:00, 7:00, 8:00 p.m. we'll see the rain die down. we have a cloudy saturday and more rain with wind on sunday, details coming up in the seven day. >> reporter: i'm looking live at the police activity causing problems on the schuylkill expressway westbound this is the on-ramp from girard avenue. can you see the trucks that are stuck. police activity blocking the ramp, also blocking the right lane of the schuylkill expressway westbound. i saw another police officer come here, i thought he would let people go, doesn't look like. the ramp is blocked, the right lane blocked. police activity going on right now at girard avenue. nothing happening on the big picture just yet. the vine street expressway moving nicely. we have construction logan township, 130, between 322 and 44. one lane is blocked with that.

going on the ground floor and spread to two second floor apartments. nobody was hurt. what sparked the fire is under investigation. police are looking for suspects in a robbery and chase that ended in a nasty crash in delaware county. chopper 6 hd was over the scene after the happened at 8:00 p.m. robbers stole the cash register from the mcdonald's in brook haven and took off. officers spotted their vehicle and pursued it on i-95 at highland avenue. a short time later, the vehicle crashed near route 322 in chester township. police took two people into custody and looking to make more as. "action news" obtained a surveil video of a of an armed robbery in manayunk. a man pretended to shop and ended up tieing up a manager and customer. the trio stole $06,000 worth of furs and purses. police are hoping the video will
